Human Rights Vilotations-Zimbabwe
Assignment::::Explore the different countries and the potential human rights violations that are occurring. Write a 250 word summary of a human rights issue and the violations that are taking place in one of these countries. Read each others blogs and comment on how we could help raise awareness on each others blog.
-The people of Zimbabwe are being forced out of their homes with no reason given. After being kicked out of their homes, they have not been given any other way of living or aternitive living. they are still living in very poor conditions.
-The government has been evicting people from their homes and demolishing them. They dont get a notice, court orders, due process, legal protection, redress or appropriate relocation measures. The government keeps doing this even though they fully know the sever housing shortage. during this delima the police used excesive force, distroying property and beating the people. the athorities havent done anything and as a result people are still at risk of losing the homesm and informal business
-Unemployment is above 90 perecnt and maority of the population, mainly women, are trying to survive on informal trade. further forced evacuation could drive these people in deeper in to poverty.
—the people of Zimbabwe are being torn from their right to have a a secure and good eviorment to live in. They are no being given the right to live in their homes and are being torn from them with out notice. they are working lowpaying jobs just to get by.
